Since Monday I’ve been pretending I actually live in STL & have been releshing in being home! Too bad it’s super-short lived as I’m headed to the Big Easy for another weekend-long conference tomorrow morning. After the Monday luggage fiasco, things have been pretty busy getting my shit life back together. Did you know that your bills do not pay themselves when you’re out of town? Strangest thing…the least they could do is help out a bit! Tuesday was a blur between a morning workout, work, the grocery store, bank, dry cleaners, laundry & learning how to drive again countless other tedious errands.
Wednesday morning was “Trainer Time Wednesday”. I texted her Tuesday night letting her know I hadn’t lifted in 5 days & please needed an “a$$ kicking”. She was on board. Our workout looked like this —
While this workout might look short, the 1st set took almost 35 minutes to complete. Laying halfway on/off the bench is causing my core to ache today, but it’s a “good ache”…kind of.

While doing one of the 800m jaunts on the treadmill a woman hopped on a treadmill in the row in front of me. She started running & I almost fell over watching her. Her form was so strange I really thought she might fly off in a fury of dirty sweatpants & brow sweat & hurt herself. I’m no expert on running form, but this just looked painful. Luckily she was only on for a few minutes before a trainer came & grabbed her to take her through some exercises. Want to know more about running form? This article on “The Perfect Form” from Runners World will clue you in. Then it was home for breakfast & a bucket ton of coffee — it’s kind of chilly here right now. Breakfast was warm & comforting in the form of —
Well, that’s about it for me, I have about 24-hours left until I move out of leave STL again.
I have some work related errands to run to get ready & some packing to do!
What about you — Which online workout videos do you frequent, if any? What’s the strangest workout form you’ve noticed at the gym?
