This week has been strange with a capital “S”! Work has been very bipolar to say the least and I’ve just seen and dreamed a lot of what is easily classified as strange things. This sums the boring work part of it up…. (source)
After work on Tuesday Jenn & I hit up our 6pm boxing class and I know I say it every time we go, but it was HARD! We both agreed that this was the hardest one we’ve been to by far. Along with the normal punching, there was a ton of hill sprints, squats, push-ups and core work tossed in. Take that Tuesday night!
After boxing I needed to run to the grocery store and while there I watched an older man eat at least half a BUCKET of ice-cream. Yes, a bucket, a HUGE bucket. I guess he was hungry? It was STRANGE! Then while driving home from the grocery store I saw another older gentleman
caller wearing his headphones and “dance walking” his tiny “Hannibal Lector-esque” dog down the street. Again, strange. Something might be in the water right now in the STL folks!
Last night after boxing I treated myself to a glass of vino (some sweat might have dripped in there—nasty!) and a fresh salad. Then it was early to bed to start the STRANGE dreams! I think since I talked to my g/f in CO yesterday and because I was starting to get excited for the trip, I had crazy town dreams about the situation. Nothing bad, but just weird (along the lines of avocados in a cupboard, etc?!?!)
Oh, I also spent some time on Pintrest last night browsing around and found this which I think is hilarious! Disclaimer: often times in the Summer I can’t resist drinking my face off, so I’m sure there will be some “white girl wasted” references down the line!
This morning I woke-up before my alarm clock, only by 3 mins., but I felt well rested! I was a bit muscle-fatigued from the late workout yesterday but knew I wanted to get an am workout so did this TRX Circuit at the gym.
I was starving this am when I went home and was super stoked for breakfast—yes, I am a total tool who gets stoked about breakfast! Especially since it was overnight oats…with some cottage cheese & berries! Admit it, this pile of
crap oats looks tasty, no???
While perusing the internet last night I found this article you might find interesting; 10 Health & Fitness Myths You Still Believe. ps. I’m obsessed with the Huffington Post right now! Perfect mix of smut, biased news and entertainment! While I didn’t find any of these specific 10 myths to be extremely eye-opening; it did force me to think about my own fitness and food tricks! For example, if you just take a “bite” of something off someone else’s plate—it doesn’t “count”. Neither does eating while standing in my mind
and my mind is always right!
Questions for the Day; What are some just downright STRANGE things you’ve seen lately? What are some fitness and food “myths” you operate under?
